Why Card Size Matters

Choosing the right card size helps your design look balanced, fit standard envelopes, and be easy to mail. Starting with common sizes also makes measuring, cutting, and layering much simpler.

A2 Card (Most Popular)

• Card size: 4.25" x 5.5"
• Card base: 8.5" x 5.5", folded in half

Great for: Everyday cards, beginners, most cardmaking projects

A6 Card

• Card size: 4.5" x 6.25"
• Card base: 9" x 6.25", folded in half

Great for: More space for designs or longer sentiments

A7 Card

• Card size: 5" x 7"

Slimline Card

How to Make a Basic Card Base

1. Cut cardstock to the base size (example: 8.5" x 5.5" for A2)
2. Score at the halfway point (4.25")
3. Fold along the score line
4. Burnish the fold with a bone folder for a crisp edge
